Creating an airfoil completely with Patch

I have been watching the first few video's on designing the Piper 140, which I am getting great ideas from. As an RC modeller, I am trying to use what I have seen so far to design a model of my own. starting with the main wing.

I am wondering if it is possible to draw the wing completely using the Patch tools so I can give it a skin thickness which then can help with designing the internal rib structure more accurately

Pity I can't insert the F3D file with this post so you can see what has been done so far and where I am getting stuck ...

@KoalaDave,

To answer your question, it is possible to start by creating a patch and then turn it into a skin.

But, you can also continue as I did and in the end, use the "Offset" comment to create the skin, thicken it, then use the "Combine" command to subtract the skin body from the Wing body.

Then you can use the wing body to create the ribs.

My apologies! Just noticed that the ability to attach files was set to after 3 posts  ? I have fixed it and you should be able to see the attach file icon now and attach files as well  ?

Looking at your file, you can see if you zoom in to the leading edge of the sketch, that the "Lead/Trail" lines are not connected/Coincident to the Airfoil sketch. You need to use the "Project Intersect" command to project the Airfoil leading edge and connect the "Lead/Trail" lines to it.
