No instructions on sketch 19

I started the second video and realised that the creation of sketch 19 was missing. I don't know at what angle the line was or where it was located on the airfoil but I made it perpendicular to the chord and location was just near the front so I hope that is correct. When using the plane at angle command, The plane is created at a weird angle and I don't know how the angle came there. The angle is about 30 degrees but not exactly making it quite annoying. I checked if the origin was correct and it was at the some location as the origin of the whole plane which would mean that this should not occur? any idea how to fix it and possible more instructions on the location and angle of the line.

Kind regards,

Arjan

Hey @arjan,

Sorry for that, I think this guy asked me the same question and I created a video for him:

Thanks for the quick reply @benk, I think the link for the forum is wrong or you misunderstood me. As shown in the photo the path for the sweep is correct it is just that when I use the plane at angle command for this line only the angle is weird as shown in the previous post. Also, I am not sure if my location of the line is correct even though that shouldn't affect the plane at angle command.

Yep, I misunderstood you, sorry. In general I like that people make a screencast, it's much easier to understand.

The airfoil sketch should be on the origin. This way it doesn't matter if you are using the cord line or the one of the origin axis.

If you could make a screencast and show me what you did, then it would much easier to help you.

But I am at a point to just restart again and hope the problem is somehow solved on a new file.

I know this problem, it happened to me as well and I think it's happening because the construction Plane doesn't have a reference for direction on how to turn.

If you open my file (#3 Wing - Wing Tip (a)) you will see that I have created this line manually somewhere in the middle in the airfoil.

Thanks! I opened the file and saw you added a plane to the plane you sketched on. I did the same thing and luckily it worked! Thanks a lot!
