How to find the CPU/GPU info [mac]

This is a short guide on how to find your CPU or GPU model information. I'm showing two ways that you can do that, but there are many others as well.

How to find Processor, memory and operating system [macOS]

  1. Click the Apple icon >> About This Mac >> System Information window.
Here you will find your RAM & Graphics Card info.
  2. How to Find Your Mac’s Exact CPU Model:
Launch the Terminal from the Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities folder (or by searching for it with Spotlight). Then, enter the following command and press Return:

    sysctl -n machdep.cpu.brand_string

  3. How to Enable CPU Frequency Monitoring in iStat Menus
This link, will take you to another site that will show how to install/add the CPU Frequency monitoring in the iStat – and don’t worry, it’s very simple.
